-
Ph.D candidate of Physical Chemistry
Jing Jing (Ms. Hong Wang) entered the University of Akron in 1990 and received
her M.S. degree in Physics in 1992. Her research involved the delineation
of parameters affecting the growth of thin epitaxial metal films grown
by thermal evaporation on mica substrates. Scanning tunneling and atomic
force microscopy were used to characterize the crystal habit and topology
of the films. Of particular interest were crystal defects and growth structures.
During her tenure at UA Jing co-authored 5 publications in referred journals.
Jing Jing joined nChip, a division of Flextronics International, in
1995 as a Process Development Engineer in the R&D group. She is working
on the development of integrated passive components such as resistors,
capacitor and inductors. She has gained a lot experience in the development
and process of Multi-chip modules (MCM).
Jing and Albert have one daughter, Rebecca, who was born in Feb. 1995.
The Wangs are looking forward to moving into a new home. Their hobbies
are swimming, tennis, and caring for Rebecca.
