Russel Coast

  • 1988 - B.S. in Science Education (Physics), Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, PA
  • 1988 -1992 Physics Teacher, Franklin Area Schools, Franklin, PA

Currently Russell is working as a staff engineer for AirTouch Cellular in the Network Development Department. His responsibilities include traffic monitoring and projecting network growth, and he is in training as an integration engineer (an amalgam of mechanical, electrical, and radio-frequency engineering).

While at the University of Akron Russ worked on several projects using Infrared Reflection Absorption Spectroscopy. His research interest included the mechanisms by which adhesive coupling agents (and other surface treatments) react with an oxidized aluminum surface. Russ was also responsible for the development of our old departmental web site.
